This Privacy Policy explains what information XRPBay ("we", "us") processes when you use xrpbay.com, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In short: XRPBay has no user accounts, does not ask for your name or email, and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
XRPBay is the controller for the processing described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
When you connect a wallet or open a page such as /portfolio/<address>, your browser sends that public XRP Ledger address to our servers so we can look up balances, orders and activity on the ledger and show them to you. XRP Ledger addresses and all their transactions are public by design. We do not link addresses to names or other identities, and we do not sell or share them. Legal basis: providing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Transactions are prepared in your browser and signed in your wallet. When you sign, the transaction is published on the XRP Ledger, a public, permanent and decentralized record that neither we nor anyone else can change or delete. We read the result back from the ledger to show you whether it succeeded.
Like any website, our servers and our network provider receive technical data with each request, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time. We use it only to deliver the site, keep it secure (for example against abuse and attacks) and fix errors, and keep server logs for a limited time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We measure visits with Plausible Analytics, which we host ourselves on a server in the EU. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites or over time: it counts page views, referrers, countries and device types in aggregate only. No data is shared with Plausible as a company or with any third party. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your preferences (theme, explorer, slippage), your favorites/watchlist and your wallet connection are saved in your own browser's local storage. They stay on your device, are not sent to us, and you can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data or disconnecting your wallet.
If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as needed for that purpose.
XRPBay does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so we do not show a cookie banner. Our network provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site against bots and attacks.
Some providers may process data outside the EU. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Because we hold very little personal data and do not link wallet addresses to identities, in most cases there will be nothing we can attribute to you, but write to [email protected] and we will help. Note that data published on the XRP Ledger cannot be changed or deleted by anyone. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in the EU, in particular in the Member State where you live.
We protect our systems with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and up-to-date software. We keep technical logs only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, and do not keep personal data longer than necessary for the purposes above.
XRPBay is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly process their personal data.
We may update this policy as XRPBay evolves. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our Terms of Use.
